Who we are
Best VPS Match is part of BestMatch Group, operated as an independent project. The site is static HTML hosted on Netlify.
What we collect
Directly: nothing. No accounts, forms, newsletter, or comments. We never ask for your name or email.
Automatically: Netlify processes standard server logs (IP address, user-agent) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Matomo processes pageviews, referrers, device/browser details, decision-engine interaction events, and outbound provider link clicks so we can understand what helps users choose a VPS. We use this in aggregate, not to identify individual visitors.
Cookies and local storage
Matomo runs in cookie-consent mode. Until you allow analytics cookies, Matomo can still receive cookieless analytics requests, but it does not store Matomo tracking cookies in your browser. If you allow analytics cookies, Matomo may set first-party cookies such as _pk_id, _pk_ses, and _pk_ref to connect actions into sessions, recognise returning visits, and understand referrer attribution. Do Not Track is respected.
The site also stores local browser preferences: vps-theme remembers light/dark mode, and bvm-analytics-cookie-consent remembers whether you allowed analytics cookies or chose to continue without them.
Third-party services
Netlify hosts the static site, Google Fonts loads the Inter typeface, and Matomo measures site analytics, decision-engine actions, and outbound provider clicks. We run no advertising pixels and no social-media trackers.
Affiliate disclosure
Some provider links currently point to official provider pages. If affiliate links are activated in future, affiliate relationships will never affect scoring, rankings or recommendations. This page and ethics will be updated before any tracked links go live.
Your rights
We have no accounts, forms, or customer database, so there is no account profile for us to access, correct, or delete. Server logs are controlled by Netlify under their privacy policy. Matomo analytics is used for aggregate site measurement and behavioural diagnostics.
